HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

My Christmas adventure!

My holidays started with helping Mom make a Christmas card and flew through to the New Year. I did a lot of things for the first time and met so many new people that I didn't realize how much time went by. Here are some pictures to tell my story:

Why am I wearing the bow??

My first plane ride...I barely remember it, I was zonked out the whole way.

Cousin Dreue...I loved him. He told me I was "so sick and I don't even know it". I guess he was right because when I got home I got the sniffles. Guess I was sick and didn't know it yet. He's so smart.

Meeting the Arnolds! At first I thought Jake was there, but then I realized this dog was bigger than my Jake. HA! It was fun to meet Cameron too, I hope his parents send me the picture of us together (hint, hint). I'm surprised I made it out of there...I could tell Auntie Lori definitely wanted to keep me. Plus she gives great gifts, wait to you see the new kicks I have now!


Jackie, Alexis, and Gianna. They had so many toys! I can't wait until I have that many when I get older. I had fun hanging out with the girls...Tommy was nice too!

I loved meeting Jes, Mitch, and Julia! She had a lot of fun toys too! This getting older gig is definitely going to be fun.


Jarvis! I loved meeting her too. Mommy tells me she's getting married this summer. She's going to be a beautiful bride. Then she can get working on getting me a new friend!
















Trey liked to do tummy time with me on the floor. He liked to see me do my dance moves!

I was happy to meet Nancy. I can't wait until I'm older to taste her delicious sausage bread!

The big move to Jacksonville

After Thanksgiving we packed our bags and moved away from P'cola and headed east. I was happy to find out that we stayed in the sunshine state where I can continue to go without wearing coats and hats. Actually, all I really wanted to know is if my swing and play mat made it in the move. While mom and dad unpacked and cleaned our new crib, they left Gracie to keep an eye on me. I don't know if that was a good idea because I think she gets into more trouble than I do, but she is teaching me how to do a cute, adorable, smiling look that gets you out of almost anything. I'll have to put that to the test here shortly. Anyway, if you want to visit me, now you'll have to make your way down the Atlantic coast side of Florida to Jacksonville. Hope to see you all soon!!

Halloween

Mom and dad told me all about Halloween. The only thing I don't understand is why am I the only one dressed up? Besides that, we had a fun day. I had three different outfits to wear all day and at night I got to help dad pass out candy. We ran out of candy early though. Dad says mom didn't let him buy enough, but I couldn't help notice dad eating candy every time we passed some out. I thought the whole point of Halloween was to give kids candy for dressing up...I ended up with none! That is a big rip off if you ask me. Maybe next year I can pick my own costume.

Grandma is here!

This week I met my grandma...let the spoiling begin! If this visit is anything like things to come I am very excited, she came with more clothes than I know what to do with. Sometimes I do a fashion show for my parents with all of them...no wait, the reason I'm getting changed is because I keep spitting up on them.

For some reason I was seeing stars the whole time she was here. Dad told me that they weren't actual stars, but the stars you see from the camera flash going off once a second. She sure does like that camera. Unless I was feeding or getting my diaper changed I was almost never out of her arms. She read me stories, played with me on my tummy time mat, and tried her hardest to make sure my first word was "grandma."

I had a great time all week and can't wait until the next time she visits...maybe next time grandpa will be able to come too.

My 1st bath!

I know it doesn't look like it, but I love bath time. Before this I received "sponge" baths and hated every minute of it. Now I get these all of the time. I will stay in the water as long as they let me and even Gracie seems to want to join in on the fun. I love the warm water and maybe soon I will get toys to play with. The baths are pretty quick so it doesn't take long to get to my least favorite part...the drying off! I freeze my little ass off! Oops!! Pardon my potty mouth; I can't even talk yet and I'm already in trouble. Let me rephrase: I freeze my little heinie off when they take me out of the tub. After that comes snuggle time with mommy. I get dressed up in a hooded blanket to warm up and I end up looking like a duck or bunny. It's one of the highlights of my day.

Adventures of week 3

All kinds of stuff happened this week! I was introduced to tummy time, which is good because I can practice picking up my head without dropping it on dad/mom's shoulder. I also like to kick my legs out when dad holds me. Mostly because I want to get higher up so I can see more but also to keep dad guessing if I am settled or not. Jake and Gracie like tummy time also, they are never more than a tails length away when I am on the floor. They are still figuring out which toys are mine/theirs.



I also went for my first walk. I found out that I have a sporty set of wheels. If I would have known that earlier I would have had us going around the block sooner than this. It's a smooth ride, so smooth I took a nap. I can get used to being driven around, we might have to do this on a regular basis. Jake did not leave my side during this walk, which is how it used to be for dad. Looks like Jake has a new best friend. It didn't take long for that happen. That's enough excitement for one week...stay tuned for more updates.

Bronco fans???

My second visitors were Derek and Andrea, dad's friends from college in Colorado. Dad did warn me about them before they got here. He said they were from Colorado and it is not their fault they are confused about what a real football team is while they root for the Denver Broncos. Despite that one fault they were very nice.



Derek was not sure what to do with me when he held me and to be honest he looked a little scared. But after a few minutes he got comfortable and I think he liked me. Again, I mostly slept through this visit; I like to save my wide awake time for the middle of the night. That's when party time is, right? Hopefully we will see more of them before we leave town, more on that later.

Visitors already!!

Not even a week old and I already have my first visitors. And if this is the kind of attention I will get when people visit then all are welcome here. Ryan and Dawn made the trip all the way from Pensacola to come and see me...wait I live in Pensacola...so maybe I will see a lot of them from here on out. I know I was sleeping most of the time, but next time they come around I promise to be full of energy! Besides, it gets kind of boring spitting up on mom and dad all of the time...I need some other people to experience the fun!

My first week

So far it's been fun hanging out with mom and dad all day. Dad told me he has to go back to work soon and that I'll be stuck with mom all day. Anyway, I just wanted to update everyone on what I like to do all day. Let's see...there is feeding, sleeping, hanging out with my peeps (Jake and Gracie), and did I mention feeding? Got milk anyone??


That is pretty much it, we have our routine down and we are sticking to it. Mom likes to wrap me up like a burrito still and dad won't put me down...unless it's the middle of the night, then he keeps trying to put me behind bars like I did something wrong.

Homecoming

On Tues. Oct. 7th, after spending two nights at the hospital, my parents told me it was time to go home. I did not know where home was but it had to be a better place than the hospital where I was poked and prodded every 2-3 hours by the nurses and doctors. I was finally put into some real clothes and loaded into my car seat. I was swimming in my "going home" outfit, but I sure did like being in my car seat. It was so cozy that I slept the whole trip home.

Checking out my new home was an adventure in itself. Come to find out I am not the only little one running around the house. I have two new best friends to get acquainted with, Jake and Gracie. That time will have to be put on hold while I get adjusted, but until then they are very interested in everything I do.



I was given the grand tour of the house though I was just interested in where I will be sleeping. All in all it was pretty uneventful. I was wide awake, but for some reason my parents were too tired to do anything. They just wanted to sleep the day away.
