I'm Gettin' Nuttin' for Christmas

December 19, 2010
Based on our reactions, I'm sure Mommy and Auntie Erika will be getting lots for Christmas this year. Not so sure about Sophie and myself.

Christmas tree

December 4, 2010

Today we went on our annual outing to chop down our very own Christmas tree. We were hoping we would have just as much fun as last year. I didn't care so much for all the trees and I didn't want to be put down at all, until I set my sights on this...

...a John Deere tractor! I was so excited and leapt right out of Daddy's arms and climbed on up. The keys were left in the ignition so all I had to do was figure out how to get it in gear and I would be on my way. We probably weren't supposed to be playing on this so Mom kept a lookout while I had my fun.

Finally, my parents dragged me off and tried to distract me with the pony they kept calling a reindeer. I couldn't help it, I kept looking back at that tractor hoping we'd go home with it, instead we came home with a tree. Oh well, maybe next year.

Our First Snowfall

November 21, 2010

What a great surprise I had the other day! I was about to head off to school when my Mom told me it was snowing outside. Believe it or not, I've never been in falling snow. Sure I've walked through it once before, but falling from the sky. This was way cool! I loved it and begged my Mom to keep me out of school that day. She decided to ignore me and off to school I went. She really should have listened to me though, because apparently the town isn't equipped to deal with a couple of inches of snow. They don't plow here and by the time school was out, the streets were a mess and cars were sliding all over the place. Maybe next time, she'll realize I know a thing or two and take my advice!

Happy Halloween!

October 31, 2010
This Halloween I was so excited to be able to go trick or treating! I got all dressed up at as an adorable butterfly and hit up the neighborhood with Sophie.

It was so much fun going door to door and getting candy! Sometimes people would hold their bowls of candy within my reach and I would help myself to a few extra pieces. I guess that's one of the benefits of being so darn cute. Who's going to take candy away from a cutie like me??

I could have stayed out all night going from house to house. But it was getting late and it was really cold so we headed back to the house. I thought the fun was over, but no way! Kids kept coming to our door and I had so much fun giving candy away. Every time the doorbell rang, I'd run as fast as could to answer it. I can't wait to do it all again next year!

Pumpkin picking at the Farm

October 13, 2010
One of the first things we did, now that we're back in Washington, is to go to the farm and get some pumpkins. I was an old pro at this since I had just had a farm party a few weeks earlier. This time I was able to ride in a wheelbarrow. These pumpkins are almost as big as me!

Sophie and I ran through the corn maze together. It was a blast! I was all turned around in there and had no idea how to get out. Clearly, I inherited my Mom's lack of a sense of direction. That's okay though...getting lost is most of the fun!

We ended the day with the best treat ever...ice cream! Yummy!!!

Pictures at the Park

October 27, 2010

I went out to one of the local parks to have my picture taken by my friend, Val. This place was so beautiful. There was a beach with one of my all time favorite things...ROCKS!! The only thing I wanted to do was toss the rocks into the water. I had a blast! It took a lot of convincing, but Mommy finally got me to sit on one of the logs to take some pictures. I did it, but as soon as I could I went back to rock throwing. We should hang out here more often!

Happy 2nd Birthday!

October 5, 2010
The third party we had was celebrated on my actual birthday. It was just ice cream cake with the grandparents and Grandpapa. At first, I was not too sure about all of this.

But wait...I get to eat all this! Now we're talking!

So good! Yummy!

Happy birthday to me!

Two Year Old Pictures

October 5, 2010
My Mom had wanted to get some two year old portraits done of me at a photography studio. She had picked out this really cute outfit and she was all excited to get my pictures done. I hate having my picture taken so I thought of a plan to sabotage the whole thing. The night before we were to go, I waited until Mom and Vavó were in the kitchen and I snuck out to the living room. As usual, my Vavô was fast asleep in the recliner. It was perfect! I knew it had to be done so I just closed my eyes and went for it. I walked into the end table and hit my forehead right on the edge. I played the part and cried and cried. My Mom had no choice but to cancel the pictures. I had a huge bruise and goose egg on my forehead, but it was worth it! Mission accomplished...or so I thought.

The next morning she dressed me all up and took the pictures herself. What? How did this happen? I need to get out of here. Okay maybe if I say bye a bunch of times, she'll figure it out.

Nope, she's not getting it. Hmmm...maybe I should go into my "I'm-about-to-bolt" stance.

Forget it...I'm just going to make a break for it!

The Most Fun!

October 2, 2010
Grandpapa and I went for a ride on the tractor! I got lots of practice driving and worked out any hiccups I may have had. Now that I am an expert, I am clearly ready to take on the car. Mom, hand over those keys!

Grandpapa had a blast too! I can tell! Love you!

Party with the Family

September 26, 2010
Party time...take two! This time it was with all the relatives. They sure are an interesting bunch! Some are photogenic:

Some are not..and they know it!

Both Mom and I were able to enjoy a tasty treat!

And the gifts were a big hit with all the kids!

Let's get this party started!

September 25, 2010

For my second birthday, my Mom and I flew to Rhode Island. There were a bunch of parties planned for me and I could not wait to see all my friends and family! The first party was with all of my friends and was held at Adam's Farm. It was hotter than hot that day! Hotter than any day I've seen since my days in Jacksonville! But I still had a great time with everyone feeding the goats, jumping on the hay bales, and running through the corn maze. Thanks to everyone who came! Love you all!

The Big Jump and a Tasty Treat

September 1, 2010
Should I do it??
Whee!!
Stuck the landing...that sure was fun!

After all that jumping I really needed a nice snack. An apple? No...how about a tomato and I'll eat it like an apple. Sounds perfect to me!

My Summer Chore

August 23, 2010
I had wanted to help out around the house and naturally the best chore for me to do this summer was to water the flowers and grass. We don't have a sprinkler system here so I was happy to pick up the slack. I thought I did a great job even if I got Mommy and myself just a little wet! Watch out Mom, this one is coming straight at you!

Happy Birthday Dad!

July 25, 2010
For Dad and Uncle Bryan's birthday we all took a ferry trip over to Victoria, BC. It was my first time in another country. I can now consider myself a world traveler! From what I saw, Canada is beautiful. We went to a place called Butchart Gardens. I don't know if Dad was thrilled with walking around a garden all day, but he seemed happy just to spend time with us. Mom and I had a great time looking at all the flowers!

One of the most exciting things I got to do was go on my first carousel ride! There was no way I was going to sit on one of those horses so Daddy had to hold me the entire time. I wasn't too sure about it at first. Uncle Bryan kept trying to take my picture and every time I'd find him, he'd be gone the very next moment. This thing was moving fast!

I sure do love you Daddy and hope you had a fun birthday. But I'm still not going to look at the camera no matter how hard you try to make me!

One Zany Zoo

July 18, 2010
My all time favorite book is One Zany Zoo so I was very excited when my parents told me that we were going to take a trip to the zoo in Seattle. I was hoping it would be just as exciting as my book makes it out to be. My parents took me to all the exhibits and these animals just sat there. Major snooze fest! So I occupied myself doing this:

That's right...there's nothing more entertaining than using a straw to place drops of watered down coke on your tongue while being wheeled around. My parents had walked the entire zoo and were just about to head home when they made one last stop to see the otters.

I was mesmerized! I finally perked up, tossed my coke aside, and demanded to see every animal in the place. So my parents took me around again and this time I loved it!

We even went to the gardens there and I got to smell all the flowers.

Last stop was probably my favorite...the bubbler! I could have stayed there all day long!
